A couple of weeks back, outlaw country artist and Staind frontman Aaron Lewis made news when he told a loud crowd in Oklahoma City to "shut the expletive up" and stormed off stage before finishing the night's closing song. Saturday in Milwaukee, he threw an F-bomb at the crowd again — an enthusiastic " Expletive yeah. It happened near the end of his two-hour acoustic set at a packed Eagles Ballroom at the Rave. In the middle of the Staind song "Outside," the sound of chatter from the audience fell away and thousands of voices became one, singing along with the chorus. Aside from providing a stirring moment that illustrated why acoustic shows can be so special, it likely provided Lewis and die-hard fans a sense of relief. Acoustic shows in large theaters and ballrooms can be tricky. A loud, annoying crowd nearly ruined it. Lewis' fans are also used to his hard-rocking style, and the 3,person-capacity Eagles Ballroom doesn't tend to host acoustic shows like this one. The venue filled the vast floor with rows of seats Saturday. But initially, there was still tension.

Lewis had unplugged his guitar and made his way to the front of the stage to play his ballad "Thank You" when he lost his cool with the audience, shouting at the crowd to "Shut the f--k up. You guys have talked all fg night.
